- Extraction, grafting, immediate placement, socket preservation plus grafting, Sinus lifts – direct and indirect, ridge splits and immediate placement
- Each candidate is assigned a specialist mentor
- Placement of 8 implants on live patients in 5 days
- All patients are screened and assessed medically and dentally with CBCt and study models to plan
- Comprehensive prosthodontically driven treatment planning sessions each day
- University based certification – 25 CPD

About the Advanced Implantology Surgery Course
Take a week-long study trip to Chennai, India, where you will stay in 5-star accommodation with breakfast included, with transport to your study venue for the week: The University of Chennai
There you will be appointed your own personal mentor for the week, a professional dental educator, who will guide you through all aspects of implant surgery on real cases.
Diagnose the issues, plan the procedure, perform implant placement surgery from placement to suturing to restoration – all under the close guidance of your mentor.
It will be a full week of challenging cases, and upon completion you will have the confidence to use your new skills in your practice back home.

What does the Advanced Implantology Course include?
The course is a customised five‑day programme held at the University of Chennai featuring placement of eight implants on live patients per candidate. It covers advanced surgical techniques such as extraction, grafting, socket preservation, ridge splits and sinus lifts, planned using CBCT with prosthodontically driven treatment planning. Each participant is assigned a specialist mentor for one‑to‑one guidance.
Who is eligible to attend the Advanced Implantology Course?
This course is designed for dentists who have already placed around 30 implants and are surgically competent in flap raising and suturing. Candidates should be experienced with grafting, extraction, immediate placement or similar implant procedures.
What certification and support do participants receive?
Participants receive a university‑based certificate and earn 25 CPD points on successful completion. Post‑course support includes ongoing mentorship and tailored case feedback from the institute and Dr Thomas.
